Welfare & Debt
Armed Forces Community HQ is here to help you lead a fulfilling life; to be healthy, happy and with access to the basic needs. There is no shame or judgement in seeking help, and our team treats all cases with the utmost confidentiality. We can provide information, advice and advocacy to tackle any barriers you are currently facing and ensure you are receiving all the support you are entitled to. This includes working with government agencies such as Local Authorities, DWP, Veterans UK and others.
If you are finding it difficult to manage your finances, or find yourself in debt and unsure what to do – we can support you to access qualified professional advice and sources of emergency funding.
Cost of Living Grants (RBL)
The Royal British Legion are currently offering grants of up to £1,200 to help with rising energy bill costs. You do not have to be in receipt of state benefits, and can receive up to £200 per month for six months. More information can be found here, but we recommend calling on 0808 802 8080 and someone will guide you through the application process.
Food Bank Parcels
AFCHQ does not provide food bank parcels, but we can refer to local partners for those in need. Please get in touch with us here.
