We created the Forces Wellbeing Collective to unite the people and organisations who care deeply about the wellbeing of our Armed Forces community.
The Call For A Better Way Forward
At Armed Forces Community HQ, we saw the challenges up close: veterans slipping through the cracks, families unsure where to turn, professionals doing their best without a shared system of support. We knew that no single organisation could solve these issues alone — and that siloed services were leaving too many behind.
That’s why we founded the Forces Wellbeing Collective: to bring together charities, volunteers, health professionals, public services and more, to create a joined-up, trauma-informed support network across the North West. Funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, it started as part of the *Veterans’ Places, Pathways & People (VPPP)* programme — and quickly became something bigger.
We’re now leading the next chapter under *Thrive Together* (2024–2027), continuing to grow a movement rooted in collaboration, community action, and sustainable change.
Stronger Systems. Better Support. Real Impact.
The Forces Wellbeing Collective is built around five core goals:
- Join Forces – Build a thriving membership of individuals and organisations who are committed to transforming wellbeing outcomes for the Armed Forces community.
- Raise Standards – Share learning, toolkits and best practice that enable safe, effective, inclusive services — wherever they’re delivered.
- Strengthen the Sector – Champion and support VCSE organisations through mentoring, collaboration, workforce development and funding opportunities.
- Bridge the Gaps – Create real-world connections between mainstream services and the Armed Forces community, improving access and reducing friction.
- Shape the Future – Use insight and lived experience to influence systems, policies and funding — making sure our community’s voice is heard where it matters.
Whether you’re a charity leader, health professional, policymaker or passionate volunteer, the Collective gives you the infrastructure, insight and inspiration to do more — together.
