Molyneux House
Located in the heart of Wigan, Molyneux House is more than just a building, it’s a lasting tribute to Royal Navy Submarine Officer Lt Cdr Ian Molyneux GM RN. Named in his honour, this site commemorates his extraordinary bravery and ultimate sacrifice aboard HMS Astute in 2011. His legacy lives on through the work we do every day to support the Armed Forces community.
Molyneux House provides a welcoming hub for veterans, serving personnel, and their families. From peer support sessions to practical help, community events, and volunteer opportunities, this is a safe space where no one is left behind.
Room hire
At the Armed Forces Community HQ CIC we have a number of rooms available for you to hire. Our rooms are great for multiple uses; we have held business meetings, fundraisers, training sessions and community group meetings.
The rooms are available to book during working hours (09:00 – 16:30) but please get in touch to discuss your needs. We can open the facility later and at the weekend as well as provide tea, coffee and catering where needed.
The HQ is in a great location, just 5 minutes’ walk for the centre of Wigan. Wigan Wallgate and Wigan North Western train stations as well as Wigan Bus Station are all just a short walk from us (approx. 10 – 15 mins). The site has a free car park available for those who drive.
