Men’s Health Matters

Men’s Health Matters

Starting this July, Men’s Health Matters is a new weekly group hosted at Molyneux House, focused on supporting the mental, emotional and social wellbeing of men in our Armed Forces community and beyond.

Taking place every Wednesday evening from 6:00–8:00pm, this is a safe, welcoming space where men can come together to talk openly, share experiences, and connect without judgement.

The group is led by Darren, a trained facilitator from Andy’s Man Club, and is supported as part of the Wigan Council Manbassador Programme, a local initiative to ensure that no man feels alone, unheard, or unsupported.

Whether you’re struggling, thriving, or just want to be around people who understand what you’re going through, this group is for you. There’s no pressure to speak, and no expectations. Just turn up, grab a brew, and be part of something that matters.

What To Expect

  • A relaxed, informal space to talk or just listen
  • Peer support from men with shared experiences
  • Topics focused on mental health, wellbeing, and everyday challenges
  • Led by a trained facilitator with lived experience
  • Free refreshments and a warm welcome every week

This group isn’t about fixing problems, it’s about showing up, being heard, and knowing you’re not alone. That in itself can be a lifeline.
